Celine Dion Headlines the 2012 Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival
Just when you thought the jazz and Blues Festival organizers could not outdo themselves. They manage yet again to make the concert even bigger than the year before and will no doubt attract their loyal attendees and certainly draw in anyone else that was on the fence. The organizers has drafted the Canadian superstar Celine Dion to put a cap on what is expected to be an amazing three days, which also will feature former Destiny’s Child, Kelly Rowland.
The 2011 staging featured a well received Maroon 5, whose performance seemed to be in keeping with the superior performance fans have come to expect of the concert. They followed a long list of past performers including Air Supply, Michael Bolton, Gladys Knight, Anita Baker, Hall & Oates, John Legend, Alicia Keyes, Maxi Priest, Joss Stone, Monty Alexander, Billy Ocean.
The Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival has become a staple and is definitely one of the ’101 Things to do Before You Die’. The 2012 staging of the Festival will be on January 26th-28th.
